Part-Time Associate with SC Strategies
SC Strategies is seeking an Associate for the 2026 cycle. We are a fast-paced, Democratic consulting firm that handles a variety of clients including candidates for office, non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, PACs, and elected officials. This internship provides hands-on experience in the field of political consulting and is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door in any part of the political world.
The initial salary is $23/hr. The ideal candidate would be able to work 20 hours a week, preferably between the hours of 3-7 pm PST Mon-Fri. We are looking for applicants who can fill the position until November 2026. The position will be mostly remote. Occasional in-person work will be required, in the Inland Empire, Orange County, and Los Angeles County.
Daily Duties:
-Support all aspects of clients’ needs in a proactive and organized fashion
-Supervise client work by attending regular meetings, planning processes, and follow-through
-Donor outreach – outreach for clients to set up fundraisers, meetings, attend events, and opportunities for our clients to connect with donors and prospective donors to solicit funds
-Call time support/donor research -- including creation, research and completion of call sheets with donor information, and data entry and appropriate followup
-Scheduling – assisting clients teams with scheduling donor meetings, and assisting the principal with scheduling
-Staffing call time – occasional support on the ground for clients
-Managing up – provide feedback, clarity and information to partners and clients when it will impact operations and fundraising for clients
-Other duties as assigned

-Candidates should be hard working, organized, able to multitask, work independently and communicate effectively.
-Individuals passionate about Democratic and/or progressive politics
-Proficiency in Word, Excel and databases are a plus.
